Of course, it all starts here. Talent acquisition is one of the most important things a business does. Do it right and you will move the business forward. Do it wrong and it will hold you back.
In my experience, the common problems for business owners are that they do not have the time required to recruit talent carefully and thoroughly, they are unsure of what they want in a person, and they are not confident in their ability to evaluate talent.
My approach is very hands on. I help figure out what skill sets are required for a position, I go looking for that person, I thoroughly evaluate candidates, and importantly, I help the business owner interview in order to understand what each person brings to the table. As a consultant, I help a business owner make a smart decision about who he or she lets in the door.
I do this on a fixed, consulting fee basis. We agree on a price, and I keep working on it until we are satisfied we have the right person. I am paid to find candidates, evaluate, and help you make a smart decision. I am not paid to make a placement. Moreover, I represent the business owner, not the candidate. My approach is non-traditional, and you will likely find my fees to be refreshingly non-traditional as well.
Much of my recruitment advisory work is repeat business, and it pleases me to look back and see that I helped a business owner build an entire team.
I work for companies of all sorts, as well as recruit for mid level to senior level positions of all sorts, including:
- Controllers
- CFO’s
- Financial Analysts
- Plant operations management
- Engineers and Engineering Managers
- Sales Managers
- Quality Managers
- Human Resources Managers
- Purchasing Managers
