I have done work for organizations of all sizes, but my approach and my services are tailored for small to mid-sized privately held companies.  I engage directly with business owners in order to handle their HR needs with them and for them.

The first half of my career was spent at large companies, where I had deep exposure to sophisticated HR issues and solutions.  Smaller organizations have HR issues that are every bit as sophisticated as those at large organizations—there are just fewer of them.  As a result, smaller organizations typically can’t develop the HR expertise needed to effectively deal with the issues that arise, and to set a robust HR strategy going forward.

I work on a project basis (such as recruitment), retained basis (such as serving as an outsourced HR manager), or on-call basis (to help deal with those tricky issues that come up day to day).
